In the course of development these years, upholding the education features “Respect and promote practice, WXIT has laid a solid professional foundation, and create industry-education interaction”, promoted the set-up of the experimental and training laboratories on campus and some training bases out of campus through the cooperation between the institute and companies, and improved the level of practical teaching. The “Industry-education Cooperation Center” of the institute has begun to take shape. In 2004 and 2007, the institute has held two Industry-Education Cooperation Forums and became the leading institute of Jiangsu Provincial automobile vocational education group. Currently, there are about 100 companies has signed the collaborative agreement of education training with WXIT, among which there are more than 20 famous companies such as GE FANUC, Hua Wei 3COM Tech, Ltd., Wuhan Hua Zhong CNC Co. Ltd., Walter（German）Co. Ltd, etc. display their up-to-date products and equipment in the Industry-Education Cooperation Center. The company of SolidWorks has established the authorized WXIT as the SolidWorks education base in China. The companies such as Gome Electric, Nanjing Turbine Electrical Machine Group, Nantong Technology Investment Group, METRO Cash & Carry Co. Ltd., and so on have set up more 20 scholarships in WXIT and has invested equipment of RMB24 million. Nowadays, there are about 171 out-of-school training bases have been set up with the joint efforts of WXIT and companies.
