The institute has set up 8 subsidiary departments. These departments are Machinery, Automobile Engineering, Electro-mechanics, Automation, Electronics Engineering, Business and Management, Computer Science, Fundamental Education, Continuous Education & Training and Practice & Training. The setting of the institute's majors mainly focus on the Jiangsu's backbone industry-manufacturing. Therefore a major set of departments has been created focusing on the industry chain. Now 16 different majors and 38 vocational pragrams have come into being. All of these adapt themselves to the manufacturing industry-chain including core industries, relevant industries and additive industries. Among them, CNC Technology Application and Automobile Technology and Service are the National Key Majors. Modern Electric Technology is the Provincial Demonstrative Major. Mode and Die Design and Manufacturing, Computer Science and Technology, Marketing are Provincial Featured Majors. Electro-mechanical Automation and Robot Technology are Key majors within the institute.
