In order to study the advanced vocational education concepts and elevate the education level, the institute keeps on communicating and cooperating with international institutions. Members of industries, vocational education institutions and community colleges coming from America, Germany, Australia，Japan, HK and Taiwan have had many intercommunions and negotiations with the institute. The institute employs foreign teachers and invites experts to teach or give lectures to the students, widening students view and mind as well as improving the communication ability of foreign languages. Every year, some teachers are selected to go abroad or go to Hong Kong and Macao to study, investigate or receive training projects. 
In 2003, WXIT became the member institute of "Community Colleges for International Development" (CCID). 
In 2005, WXIT started the joint-education program of "International Business (Global Marketing)" with TAFE Southwestern Sydney Institute, Australia.
