There are lots of
majors in Automatical Control and the Electronic Engineering
Department of Wuxi Institute of Technology, such as:
Automatical control, modern-electric, industrial automation
instrument , electronic-control technology , refrigeration
equipment and air conditioner , electromechanics integrate
,etc., and there has been more than 5000 graduates
for every professional major since 1988. 20% of the
Electric Engineering Department faculty have had high
professional titles and 86% of the staff are of double
teacher’s quality, regarding hitting the young teacher
as the main body. Some professional teachers hold
the social natural science association's directors,
member of the province and city concurrently or engaged
as the long-term technical adviser of the factory.
The teachers of our department undertake a large amount
of social technical application and social technology
services. Many teachers have become the main technologists
of many factories, helping technological innovation
and design. Our department has a possess of a qualified
basic laboratory which has been evaluated by the education
department in the province (electrician's electronic
central laboratory ), 13 various kinds of professional
laboratories , such as control theory and course controlling
, manipulator , robot , computer emulation ,etc.,
5 foundation train rooms with an area of 600m2, and
5 specialty train rooms with an area of 600m2, and
a series of training base out of school for specialty
trip work. At present, the products with teaching
and producing value that are developed by our teachers
are as follows: PLC multi-functional training system,
lift and links simulation system , wireless transportation
system of the trolley-bus , chemical industry and
manufacture emulation system. Our department still
has modern control technology training system that
can train all types of electric technician for enterprises
as well as for the middle-and-high-ranking technology
practical personnel of every specialty. We lay emphasis
on ways of improving the manipulative ability and
ability to solve problems of student through the ways
of cooperation between school and enterprise. The
most successful cooperation between school and enterprise
of our department at present is to cooperate with
Haier Group. We established Wuxi Institute of Technology
and Haier Group service centre, training after-sale
service attendants for Haier Group specially. This
can not only improve our teacher's practice ability
, but also offer the place for students to do some
practical training. We have already trained three
batches of refrigeration maintenance personal for
Haier Group at present. Our department can strengthen
the cooperation between school and enterprise, increasing
the popularity on the society of the institute and
our department.
